Nestled in the hills of Almuñécar, Cortijo La Alamea is an authentic haven of peace blending art, nature, and ecological commitment.
This traditional Andalusian cortijo, surrounded by lush vegetation, offers a unique retreat far from the bustle, with panoramic views of the hills and a glimpse of the Mediterranean Sea on the horizon.
The entire property is adorned with handcrafted mosaics—this traditional Andalusian art—giving every corner a unique and welcoming atmosphere, making La Alamea truly one of a kind in the region. Inside, though compact, you’ll find two cozy bedrooms and a private bathroom, accommodating up to 4 guests.
Reversible air conditioning and high-speed Wi-Fi (suitable for video calls) provide all the comfort you need. The outdoor spaces are the soul of La Alamea: a private pool open year-round, an open terrace, and a covered terrace invite you to enjoy the exceptional Costa Tropical climate.
The property is divided into two separate areas, each with its own entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and private space. Two parking spaces are available on the property.
In keeping with environmental values, the property is surrounded by organic tropical, subtropical, and Mediterranean fruit crops—including avocado trees—and equipped with water- and energy-saving devices.
Waste sorting instructions are available on site.
You may encounter various insects and animals, a testament to the area’s natural richness. Please note there may be government water regulations during your stay.
After passing under the bridge, phone signal is unavailable—arriving before nightfall is recommended.
Smoking indoors is prohibited.
Parties and events are strictly forbidden.

Our accommodation and the facilities were perfect in every way for our stay. The pool and terrace area were inviting and welcoming at all times of the day or evening.
Our hosts had thought of everything needed for a self catering holiday, including an ongoing supply of fresh picked fruits and vegetables brought to our table.
