Welcome to nature! Here, foxes and hares sometimes literally say goodnight to each other.
Your accommodation is in Fröhnd, a district of Dachsberg, with just 15 houses. From your terrace, you overlook the wide "Sonnenmatt" meadow and the bordering forest.
With a bit of luck, you can watch fenced cows or horses grazing from your breakfast table. Apartment details: • Spacious living room with open kitchen • Bedroom with queen-size bed • Small, modern bathroom (no daylight) • Covered private terrace with garden access • Nearest supermarket: 15 minutes by car • Wi-Fi, TV, no mobile reception! That's right: there's little to no mobile reception here.
This makes the apartment perfect if you truly want to unplug.
No worries: we offer fast fiber-optic Wi-Fi. Looking for an active holiday with hiking or biking? Or just a few quiet days far from everyday stress? Both—and anything in between—is possible here. Accommodation highlights: • Sheltered location "behind the house" with views of nature • Forest and hiking trails at your doorstep • In warmer months: ping-pong table, deck chairs, barbecue, crickets, Hierholzer Weiher (15 min walk), Klosterweiher (1 hr 15 min walk) • In colder months: bench by the stove, Black Forest crime novels, board games • Brilliant starry sky Great excursions by car, depending on the season: • Hiking in the "Southern Black Forest Nature Park" • Swimming and water sports at Schluchsee and Titisee • Ski lifts and trails in Ibach, Menzenschwand, Bernau, and Feldberg ski area • Cathedral town St. Blasien • Freiburg or Basel (1.5 h away) Your hosts are Martin and Sabine.
We built our beautiful wooden house for our family over 30 years ago. We live on the two floors above you. If you have questions or need anything, just reach out via the booking platform.
