The idyllic Baltic seaside resort of Zempin lies at Usedom's narrowest point, in the centre of the island.
This central location is ideal for exploring Usedom by car, bike or the Usedomer Bäderbahn railway.
The former fishing village has a gently shelving, stone-free Baltic beach with fine sand on one side and a picturesque setting on the Achterwasser lagoon (Usedom Nature Park) on the other.
The new seafront promenade, with its large open-air stage, lies amid coastal woodland near the Baltic Sea. Concerts take place regularly here during summer.
