The former fishing village has a gently sloping, stone-free Baltic beach with fine sand on one side and a romantic setting on the Achterwasser lagoon (Usedom Nature Park) on the other.
The new beachfront promenade, with a large open-air stage, lies in the coastal forest near the Baltic Sea. Concerts are held here regularly in summer.
