CHÂTEAU DE VILLERS ESTATE
The West Wing on the Château de Villers estate forms part of a fully restored Hunting Lodge, surrounded by its own large wooded garden in the heart of the Argonne Forest in Champagne.
The centuries-old château, once home to a branch of the family of Adelbert von Chamisso, the German writer, naturalist and explorer born nearby, is a unique surviving contemporary link to Adelbert and his family in France. The Hunting Lodge consists of two separate, non-connecting wings: the West Wing with two bedrooms and the East Wing with three.
They can be rented separately or together. The 80 m² West Wing accommodates up to 6 guests.
Its spacious 36 m² living room has a dining area, dressed-stone fireplace, Smart TV (USB/DVD), and a sofa converting into a comfortable double bed for parties of more than four. The kitchen area has an oven, 4 induction hobs, microwave, dishwasher, and 2 refrigerators.
There is one double bedroom (bed 140 × 195 cm) and one twin bedroom (2 m beds), a shower room with washbasin and washing machine, and 2 separate toilets.
Wall-mounted electric heating is available throughout. Private terrace with garden furniture, sun loungers, and barbecue.
The garden shared by both wings has a children’s playground with lookout tower, slide, and swings.
Table tennis is available in one of the château’s other dépendances.
Horses can also be accommodated. Wi-Fi, 12 bicycles for all ages, cot, and firewood are available for an extra fee. High chair on request.
Well-behaved pets are welcome for an extra fee. Bed linen and final cleaning are optional extras, payable on site.
Bicycle storage and ample covered parking are provided.

Fijne en sfeervolle gîte op rustig landgoed!
De Westvleugel ademt de charme van het erflandgoed en is comfortabel ingericht. De aanwezigheid van Johannes Landman in het nabijgelegen chateau en zijn bezoek aan ons geeft een persoonlijke 'touch' aan het geheel.
De Champagne streek is mooi met glooien...

Prima accommodatie in een mooi en interessant gebied met veel historie. Het sfeervolle appartement is behoorlijk ruim en heeft voldoende terras-meubilair om van de mooie tuin te genieten.
De eigenaar is erg behulpzaam met vele suggesties voor dagtrips in de wijde omgeving.
