Le Petit Pavillon is La Gaudane’s most rural rental.

This former 19th-century factory in the Fourmiguier district once welcomed around 100 men and women each morning to work on 26 embroidery machines. Despite its kitsch side, Le Petit Pavillon combines comfort, a change of scene and restful peace. With its courtyard and pool just steps away, it suits families with young children or teens, or couples of friends who prefer single-level living to stairs.

Its 72 m² include 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, a half-bathroom and a glass-fronted living area opening onto the courtyard.

Part of the rental and beside the kitchen, this courtyard is ideal for meals and other activities while keeping an eye on the children. Another advantage: it is in a building that hosts groups of up to 26 friends or relatives at certain times.

When split between 2 or 3 renters, everyone can enjoy the pool, pétanque court (boules provided), games and exercise room (2 table tennis tables, a pool table and fitness equipment)—amenities a 72 m² rental alone could not offer. Lively Cordes-sur-Ciel offers plentiful activities for locals year-round, also open to visitors. The owner lives on site in a separate, independent space, remaining discreet yet available for questions or problems. Finally, the garden is more countryside than formal “Le Nôtre” style, with abundant fruit.

With cupboards already full of jam jars, guests can help themselves when apples, figs, cherries, pears, plums, walnuts, blackberries and even dandelions are in season.
